NBA Playoff/Regular Season Awards Predictions To Date
Not to sound pompous, but I'm not surprised by the fact that I correctly predicted the MVP and correctly predicted 7 of 8 Round 1 series winners. In 3 of those 7 correct picks, I got the # of games exactly right as well. If only I remembered Ray Allen's 00-01 playoff run, I might not have been blindsided by the Sonics in 5 victory.
To my knowledge, the All NBA teams have not been selected yet, which gives me the opportunity to predict those as well. Without further ado, and because I expect every Round 2 series to be a sleeper, here are the All NBA Teams.
All NBA First Team
Nash
Iverson
James
Nowitzki
Shaq
All NBA Second Team
Wade
Bryant
McGrady
Garnett
Stoudemire
All NBA Third Team
Arenas
Pierce
Marion
Duncan
B. Wallace

No offense duke, but first round in basketball is pretty much always a given, then underdogs never win. If you picked all the higher seeds you would have gotten 7/8. And if you had any basketball knowledge you would know that there was no way Celtics would beat Indiana in Reggies last year. So by my count you should have gotten 8/8 but you psyched yourself out in the Seattle series, giving a weak Sac team way too much credit. Anyways, your predictions for this round would be much more interesting.
First of all, Dallas and Houston went 7. Indiana upset Boston at the 3/6, regardless of Reggie's last year. And Sacramento with Bibby/Miller/Bo Jax/Peja and even Cat should certainly have won more than 1 game against Seattle.
I already made predictions for this round at the beginning of Round 1. And I disagree with you: I believe this round will be much less interesting. Heat/Pistons/Suns/Spurs will probably all roll in 5 games max. I think only the Mavs could make it to 6

the wizards were a 5, the bulls were a 4.
so if you went with the higher seeds, you would have been 6/8

Indiana was 44-38, Boston was 45-37 in a weaker division and was only in 3rd because they won their division.
And fourth and 5th are basically interchangable since chicago was 47-35 while washington was 45-37. Regardless Im just saying it was a pretty easy round to predict.

how can you justify putting Kobe on the 2nd team above Arenas or Pierce? By using that "he had an off year" logic, shouldn't KG and Duncan both be first team?
I dont even know if I had a point, anyways, all I was saying is that getting 7/8 in the first round is nothing special.
Question tho, if miami wins the championship who gets mvp, wade or shaq? because Ive been watching the playoffs so far and shaq just hasnt been as effective as wade... anyways what do you guys think?

Why would I put Pierce's 21/6/4 on the All NBA 2nd Team? Those #s are barely better than Jason Richardson's.
Obviously Wade's straight killing it right now too.
